Dhaka
Dhaka Division is Bangladesh’s central administrative and economic heartland, anchored by Dhaka, the national capital and largest city. It covers about 20,509 km² and had a population of more than 44.2 million in the 2022 census, making it the country’s most populous division. The region combines the national government center, major industries, historic river towns, universities, and dense urban growth.
