History & Background
Built on the eastern bank of the Jamuna River at Bhuapur in Tangail, close to the Bangabandhu Multi-purpose Bridge that links the country's east and west, Jamuna Resort was developed to give visitors river views and access to the wide char sandbars that form along the Jamuna. Its head office operates from Kawran Bazar in Dhaka, and it functions as both a leisure stop and a stopover point for travelers crossing between Dhaka and the northern divisions.
