Maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this cemetery holds the graves of over 700 Allied servicemen, mostly British, and South Asian troops who died fighting the Japanese army in the Burma Campaign of 1942-1945, when Chittagong served as a key rear base and hospital center for the Allied forces.
