Cox's Bazar Airport

History & Background

Cox's Bazar Airport was first established as an airfield during the Second World War and was later converted for domestic civil aviation. The airport was damaged during the Liberation War and reopened after renovation in 1972. It has been undergoing major runway and terminal upgrades to support tourism and larger aircraft.
