How to Reach Thakurgaon

By train

Thakurgaon Road Railway Station, built in the 1930s, sits on the Parbatipur–Panchagarh line with regular services connecting to Panchagarh, Santahar, Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Parbatipur. The Panchagarh Express and Drutajan Express both serve the Dhaka–Panchagarh corridor via this line — check Bangladesh Railway's current timetable before travel.

By bus

Hanif Enterprise, Nabil Paribahan, and Ena Transport all run direct Dhaka–Thakurgaon coaches, with fares roughly 600–1,700 BDT depending on class. Since Thakurgaon sits directly on the Rangpur–Panchagarh highway corridor, direct buses also connect it with both Rangpur and Panchagarh. Road distance from Dhaka is roughly 390–420 km, with a bus journey of about 9–11 hours.
