How to Reach Gaibandha

Gaibandha is about 264 km from Dhaka by road.

By bus

Direct daily coaches run from Dhaka, with a journey of roughly 6–7 hours.

By train

Gaibandha has rail access on the historic Santahar–Bogra–Gaibandha–Rangpur line, with named trains including Lalmoni Express, Rangpur Express, Dolonchapa Express, and Kartoa Express serving the route — but there is no same-day direct train from Dhaka; Dhaka-origin journeys require a transfer (e.g. via Santahar), making the bus the more practical option from the capital.
